Small tropical evergreen shrubs with smooth green leaves in whorls along the somewhat pendant branches.The leaves are rounded and only up to one inch long.The narrowly tubular bright red flowers occur singly or in pairs at the ends of the branches.A free-blooming and attractive dwarf vireya which is perfect in a hanging basket.Native to peninsular Malaysia where it grows as an epiphyte from 4,7600 to 5,900 ft.
