Tropical evergreen shrubs with broadly elliptic leaves arranged in pseudowhorls.The leaves are dark glossy green above, pale green beneath.The pure deep yellow flowers are broadly funnel-shaped and quite stunning.Native to the AnggiLakes area in the ArfakMountains of Irian Jaya on the island of New Guinea.Grows on the margins of forests and in marshy areas near lakes from 5,900 to 7,500 ft.
