Evergreen shrubs with large oblong to ovate rounded leaves.The attractive leaves have a heavily veined and puckered texture for a very distinctive appearance.The funnel-shaped flowers are bright red or sometimes pink and occur in large clusters.This vireya makes a unique and attractive specimen.Native to Borneo where it is common and widespread from 3,900 to 7,200 ft.
