Erect-growing tropical evergreen shrubs with smooth elliptic to rounded gray-green leaves arranged in pseudowhorls.  The fragrant white flowers have a long tubular corolla and abruptly flared lobes (salverform).  An easily grown species.  Native to heath-scrub and forests in Papua New Guinea from 5,000 to 8,200 ft.

1989/004 RUTH  (+32\R1\?).  This clone collected wild on Mt. Kaindi.

1989/008  RBGE  (+32\R2\3).  Gray-green leaves and fragrant white flowers.
