Small and subprostrate tropical evergreen shrubs with a delicate and intricate branching pattern.The tiny lanceolate leaves are shiny above and arranged in pseudowhorls.The small solitary flowers are red to rose-red or dark-pink and cylindrical in shape with pale brown scales on the outer surface.Native to Papua New Guinea where it occurs from 6,500 to 9,000 ft. on dry slopes or as an epiphyte in tall trees.
