Compact rounded evergreen shrubs. The flowers (early to mid-spring) are white to pale pink, often with crimson or green flecks. One of the finest foliage plants in the genus. Indumentum color ranges from silver-white to a rich brown (when grown in shade) on the upper surface, rusty brown on the underside.
