The Rhododendron Species Foundation & Botanical Garden is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to the conservation, public display, and distribution of Rhododendron species. Home to one of the largest collections of species rhododendrons in the world, the garden displays over 600 of the more than 1,000 species found in the wilds of North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as the tropical regions of southeast Asia and northern Australia. Conservation has come to be a primary importance in recent years with the destruction of Rhododendron habitat in many areas of the world

Great News! Thanks to several days-worth of help from our loyal volunteers, we have been able to clear enough of the fallen trees and branches to OPEN the Garden Shop, Plant Sales Pavilion, the Rutherford Conservatory and the Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection.
However, due to severe damage and fallen trees resulting from the recent ice and snow storm, the rest of the garden is still temporarily closed . Please check back in a day or two for information regarding our complete reopening. Until we are able to open the entire garden to the public, there will be NO ADDMISSION FEE.
Pictures of the ice storm...

The Rutherford Conservatory has blooming vireyas (tropical rhododendrons)!
