(but usually less) with a compact habit.Flowers (March-May) are white to pale pink with a dark crimson blotch.Blooms as a young plant and is relatively hardy.Common in woodlands and on cliffs from 7,000 to 10,000 ft.Native to China (Guizhou, Guangxi, Gansu, Hubei, Shaanxi and Sichuan).
