Rounded and shrubby deciduous azaleas with pale to deep yellow, extremely fragrant flowers in mid-spring.  Great fall foliage color and a sturdy constitution make this a great all-around garden plant.  Tolerant of full sun but best in partial shade and quite lovely in the woodland garden.  Native to various habitats from sea level to 7,500 ft. in the Caucasus and adjacent regions as well as parts of Eastern Europe.

1976/410  ROB.A  (-20).  This clone grown from seed wild-collected in Turkey.  Fragrant yellow flowers.

1976/432 ‘Golden Comet’  RSBG (?20\R1\4). Our own selection of this well-known deciduous azalea grown from seed collected wild in Turkey.  A many-flowered truss of deep yellow fragrant flowers in mid-spring.  Long-lasting scarlet fall foliage color.  Best in light shade for longer lasting flowers but quite tolerant of conditions.

2000sd363  RAS#049  (-15\R1\4).  A deciduous azalea with showy  and fragrant yellow flowers in mid-spring.  Great fall foliate color.  These are grown from seed collected wild by Richie Steffen in Turkey.  An easily grown and floriferous species.
