Low densely-growing evergreen shrubs with bristly branches and beautiful small bristly-margined, glaucous-blue leaves.  Flowers (late spring to early summer) are yellow, often with darker flecks.  A choice specimen plant for the woodland garden.  Requires a well-drained soil.  Native from 10,000 to 12,000 ft. on boulders, cliffs and crevices in a small area of SW Yunnan, China.  (See Species Profile:  Oct. 1995 Newsletter)

 

1970/044  Wood  (0\R2\2).  Low dense evergreen shrubs with bristly branches and extremely attractive bristly margined, glaucous-blue leaves.  Yellow flowers in early summer.  A fantastic dwarf with really striking foliage.
