Compact but upright-growing evergreen to semi-evergreen shrubs with aromatic foliage.  The oval somewhat bristly leaves are blue-green above and glaucous-white below.  The funnel bell-shaped flowers (mid- to late spring) are greenish yellow to pale yellow with green spots. Rarely seen in cultivation but an interesting and attractive plant.  Native to the western half of Yunnan Province, China where it occurs from 8,000 to 10,000 ft. on rocky slopes
